The same academic concession extends to candidates belonging to the former FATA region, Gilgit-Baltistan, and designated northern districts of Balochistan. Trade-specific age, height, eyesight, and medical requirements continue to apply without alteration.

Special concessions in educational marks, age, and physical standards are also available for children of serving or retired PAF officers, airmen, and civilian employees. Detailed entitlement information is provided through PAF Selection and Recruitment Centres.

Multi-Stage Recruitment Architecture

Selection begins with a computerized e-testing system assessing Intelligence, English, Physics, Mathematics, and Biology according to the selected trade. Candidates clearing the written assessment undergo preliminary medical screening before progressing further.

The Physical Efficiency Test requires:

  • One-mile (1.6 km) run in 8 minutes
  • 20 push-ups within 2 minutes
  • 15 sit-ups within 2 minutes
  • 3 chin-ups within 2 minutes

Candidates qualifying on merit appear for a psychological assessment at the designated Selection Centre. Those declared suitable are interviewed by the Air Headquarters Selection Board, followed by a comprehensive final medical examination conducted by specialized military medical boards before preparation of the final merit list.

Conditions Resulting in Disqualification

Applicants are declared ineligible if they were previously rejected by PAF on medical or educational grounds, failed Airmen recruitment examinations twice, submitted forged educational documents or incorrect birth records, or have been convicted by a court in criminal or moral misconduct cases.

Registration at multiple selection centres during the same induction cycle and dismissal from any government or public-sector organization also result in immediate disqualification.

Service Benefits and Career Development

Selected Airmen receive salary and allowances under prevailing Pakistan Air Force pay regulations together with free accommodation, military messing facilities, comprehensive healthcare, and military group insurance coverage.

Career progression includes specialized professional training, merit-based higher education opportunities within Pakistan and overseas, travel concessions on railway services and domestic PIA flights, eligibility for PAF housing schemes, educational support for children, and opportunities for domestic and international operational assignments.
